About Us

TruAge is a secure digital age-verification system designed to make the purchase of age- restricted products safer, smarter, and faster. TruAge was developed by NACS, the global trade association representing the convenience store industry, and Conexxus, its standards- setting partner. Its goal is to ensure age verification is more accurate, efficient, and secure at all points of sale, reducing liability and risk and protecting customers’ privacy while keeping these items out of the hands of minors. The age-verification program is free to retailers, consumers, and point-of-sale (POS) providers to ensure access and to help facilitate broad, nationwide adoption of the program.
